EKOTREN Signs With BLIND PROPHECY RECORDS

August 29, 2007

Independent metal label Blind Prophecy Records has announced the signing of melodic metal band EKOTREN.

Originating in Cape Coral, FL in 2000, EKOTREN is John Sheldon (vocals),Keith Finnell (guitars),Derek DeSantis (bass),Steve Chin (keyboard, backing vocals),and Eric Pottle (drums). The band has formulated a style distinctly its own, one that enraptures crowds with a powerhouse performance among their rigorous state-wide circuits, blowing away Florida crowds with the whirlwind melodies of "Point of View" and the skull-rattling ferocity of songs like "The Massacre".

In collaboration with renowned producer Paul Trust (DIECAST, ENDO),EKOTREN polished up and pounded out their latest EP, "Destroying the American Dream", in early 2007 and plans to return into Trust's clutches this October to record new material which will complete their full-length debut.

In honor of the record deal, EKOTREN will emerge on a victory lap of all-ages shows around southern Florida alongside Ozzfest heroes ANKLA. EKOTREN will officially seal the deal at their show at Martini's Rock Club in their hometown of Cape Coral, FL.
